R. A. Foakes
Reginald A. Foakes (18 October 1923 - 22 December 2013 in Stratford Upon Avon) was an English author and Shakesperean scholar. He has published works on Shakespeare and the Romantic poets and edited many of Shakespeare's plays in the ''Arden'' and ''New Cambridge'' editions. He also helped found the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon. In 2001, the University of Birmingham gave Foakes an honorary degree in honor of the 50th anniversary of their Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon.〔.〕
